How To Fix "Audio Service Is Not Running" Windows 10

Hi.

1. Click the Outset Button, type "services.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Search Bar and printing Enter to showtime Services.

2. In the correct pane, delight check whether the Windows Audio service is started.

3. If non, please double click the service. In the tab "General ", make sure the "Startup Type" is "Automatic". Then please click the button "Start" nether "Service Condition" to kickoff this service.

If the service cannot be started, please also bank check the post-obit services:

Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Multimedia Class Scheduler
Windows Sound Endpoint Builder

1. Run Built-in & Guided Walk through Windows Update troubleshooter
Congenital-in : Windows Key+X > Click Settings > Click Update & security > Click Troubleshoot > Click Windows Update > Click Run the Troubleshooter

Hullo Zackary,

I have already tried these steps. All services are set to automatic and all services offset ok once I manually start them. The problem is that afterwards a shut down or restart, the service reverts to stopped and does non restart automatically.

Did you change startup services to automatic? If that doesnt work, do automatic (delayed)

Thanks for your assistance on this. I retrieve I establish a resolution for this. It looks similar our Anti-Virus program (Sophos Endpoint) was causing the issue. I disabled this program temporarily and restarted the PC several times to test. Each fourth dimension the sound service started ok.

I reinstalled the Anti-Virus program and enabled it and it is no longer blocking this service from starting. The previous install may have been decadent.
