Practise you launder your auto earlier taking it in for servicing?

If the leaf blower wasn't enough, tonight I might have proved to my neighbors that I'm truly nuts. I'1000 taking my car to the dealer tomorrow morning for routine maintenance, only I don't trust them to accept care of it. My theory is that the better it looks, the more conscientious they volition exist. And so, I spent my standard couple of hours on it this night, but this time it was 38 degrees and dark as everyone drove past on their fashion habitation from work. My family has given up on me, so I pose the question to my fellow autogeeks: Does my logic and dealer-fear brand sense, or am I on the verge of becoming too OD?

Why not merely ask them not to wash your machine? Or put a note in the car that says do not wash.

seems they never get the bulletin and launder the motorcar anyway

I would probably do the same and take with my Jeep....def don't want them washing it with the store broom

I picked upwardly my dad'south mint 1989 Mercedes 560SEC yesterday at the repair shop and when I got there the air cleaner was nevertheless non installed. As I was talking to the owner of the repair shop his tech installed the air filter and than proceeded to install scratches to the front fender as he wiped his greasy fingerprints off of the fender.......needless to say I was in a state of shock.........and so yeah it still will happen fifty-fifty clean

That is why I launder mine before. To show them how clean and scratch free the auto is. So, if anything apperas after they are done, they know it wasn't at that place before.

Re: Do y'all wash your car earlier taking information technology in for servicing?

I e'er put a notation 'DO NOT WASH' in my machine when I take it in for service. If you're driving an A5, they better just accept darn good care of information technology regardless. I don't even let them vacuum.

I too always wash my automobile before taking information technology to the dealer. I don't desire to tempt them into washing it past taking it to them muddied.

The Toyota dealer I go to puts a magnetic cone of the roof that says "Do Not Wash". Then far I've been lucky.
